Spring (Mar-Apr)

With peak winters behind us and weather being still cold, it’s a great time to visit the valley. Its less crowded, Fruit trees are blooming with different colors of fruit flowers, clear views of snow capped Tirth peaks, mountains are turning brown to green.

We have heated rooms and tandoor and fireplaces in common areas still working.

Summer (May-July)

It’s a great time to escape terrible city heat and soak yourself in cool mountain weather. Walk in the orchards to find fruits all over -Apple/ Pears/ Plum/Peaches. Go out fishing / trekking or village walks & soak yourself in beautiful sunshine. Take a dip in cool glacier fed Tirthanriver. Observe the beautiful flora / fauna, they are at their best in this time of the year.

However it’s a peak season time and traffic jams are a common thing on highways. Make travel plans intelligently to dodge the traffic.

Monsoons (July-August)

This is the time of the year mountains are lush green and it rains sometimes all through the day. Mountains look beautiful.

It’s a great time to go for leisure walks and sit near the fire and catch up with books and family. Treks are not recommended, as mountains get slippery. Land slides are not so uncommon. Would advise to drive during the day hours or take public transport. Once here – you are in heaven.
