Kudrat - A Boutique Homestay

Homestay

Nestled on a mountain slope at an altitude of 6,200 feet, Kudrat adjoins a serene cedar forest and offers uninterrupted view of the snow-capped Tirth peaks of the Great Himalayan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Our Location

Located 5 kilometers above the bustling Tirthan river, our property is a tranquil retreat surrounded by cedar trees, with the soothing backdrop of the river’s murmur, birdsong, and winds rythemically swaying the tall Deodar trees. Positioned on the edge of a charming village, Kudrat provides easy access to great outdoors. Guests can enjoy peaceful village walks, day hikes, fishing, birdwatching, or simply relaxing in the forest or on the property. For an extraordinary experience, indulge in an exclusive picnic featuring local Himachali cuisine by the riverside or in the scenic meadows.

Life at Kudrat, surrounded by cedar and pine trees, offers breathtaking views and the exclusivity of a rustic Himalayan village. The chance to spot wildlife—such as red foxes, flying squirrels, jungle fowl, mountain goats, leopards, and an array of birds—adds an element of excitement to your stay.

Kudrat perfectly blends the warmth of a home with the sophistication of a boutique hotel, making it an ideal escape for those seeking a peaceful holiday away from touristy crowds. The property is meticulously manged by us, ensuring personalized attention to detail and care for every guest.

Our

Accommodation

We offer a bouquet of 10 exquisite rooms across two beautifully designed houses:

  • The Wood House
An authentic traditional Himachali KathKuni home, The Wood House features three cozy bedrooms, a living room, a library corner, and an outdoor open fireplace.
  • The Stone House
Larger and inspired by the aesthetics of a Himachali house, The Stone House boasts seven spacious bedrooms, a living room, a dining room, a kitchen, a plunge pool, and a charming glasshouse with a fireplace.

Both houses combine the charm of traditional Himachali architecture with the comforts of a modern holiday home.

Outdoor and Common Areas

Guests can relax and unwind in the Deck, the Glass House, the Yoga Hall, or the lush lawns. Whether you’re seeking solitude or looking to connect with nature, Kudrat offers the perfect setting for a rejuvenating escape.

Traditional

Architecture

The structure of The Stone House is deeply rooted in its local surroundings and traditional craftsmanship. It is built using stones dug from the land, blending seamlessly with the natural landscape.

The Wood House is a charming, traditionally constructed cottage built with natural materials, emphasizing sustainability and local craftsmanship. The structure features 100% Kath Kuni wooden pillars, a traditional Himachali building technique, and is made with Deodar (Cedar) wood and natural stones sourced from the land itself.

In both the houses the flooring is crafted from hardwood, and the overall design incorporates stone and wood, creating a rustic, organic feel that radiates warmth and authenticity.
