Village Bandal

Bandal is a quaint village perched at an altitude of 6,200 feet along the Sharchi village road. It is one of the many picturesque villages that make up the enchanting Tirthan Valley.

Located approximately 5 kilometres by road from the riverbed and the village of Gushaini, a local landmark, Bandal offers serene and rustic warmth. Gushaini serves as the starting point for treks to the Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP), a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Much of Bandal offers breathtaking views of the snow-capped Tirth peaks, which soar to 14,000 feet above sea level within the GHNP. The village is also home to a revered Mata Gada Durga Temple, drawing locals and distant visitors from far away areas who come to seek her divine blessings.

The villagers are warm and welcoming, often engaging in friendly conversations with visitors. Their daily lives revolve around working in farms and orchards or sharing moments of camaraderie over tea or smoke, all while basking in the warm sunlight.
