Cautionary Advice

Roads

Pets

We have a cute dog pet - Ollie (cocker spaniel). We are sensitive towards the guests who are uncomfortable with dogs but we don't tie Ollie. If someone is really scared of a dog being around- they should think twice before visiting us.

During your stay with us please don’t feed Ollie and don’t take him on walk / hike without informing us. We also host guest pets at the property.

Not Wheel Chair friendly

We have many steps to the house from the parking and is not wheelchair friendly. We are in middle of a slope of the mountain - so either one has to climb up many steps from the road below or walk down a trail from the upper road.

Inverter Back up

We are situated in a remote location with a decent inverter back up. Electricity can sometimes be erratic. We have household 35 L electric geysers in each washroom. It doesn’t work in case of power cut. And if someone really needs hot water – we provide hot water in buckets.

Mobile reception

Airtel and Jio work very well. Vodafone/Idea do not exist.

WiFi

We use an airtel sim router for the wifi in the common dining common area only.

Anyone who needs dedicated connection should carry an Airtel / Jio Sim and it works very good for video / work.

Minibeasts

We are situated in a remote location adjoining a forest. Though we try our best to keep the creepy crawlies away but sometimes we can see spiders, mosquitoes, flies, rats and other small insects in and around the house. We do not “fog” chemical sprays in the surroundings as it kill most of the bees and small insects which are vital to the sensitive food chain in the area. No instects means no birds too. However we are also considerate of hassle that these little natives can cause to our guests. We do keep mosquito sprays, camphor tablets and citrenolla incense sticks for your usage at the property.

Wood House

Please note that the rooms on the first floor are smaller in size and are not ideally suited for accommodating an extra bed. Additionally, as the rooms are in close proximity to each other plus wooden flooring, guests may hear sounds from adjacent rooms. Its ideally good for small size families. Please note that main meals are served in the Stone House only however one can order snacks and tea coffee in the wood house.
